Paua Double Koru Cut-Out Pendant

Paua is renowned for its magnificent opalescent colours, it is the most coulourful shell in the world. It is a unique species of the Abalone family, found only in the coastal waters off Fiordland and Stewart Island in the far south of New Zealand. Maori traditionally use the shell to decorate their wooden carvings.

Koru is a spiral shape based on the shape of a new unfurling silver fern frond and symbolizes new life/beginnings, growth, harmony, strength and peace.
