Hei Tiki
An ancient traditional form of Maori Toanga, the Tiki has many meanings, it is based on the legend of tiki the first man, also for women it represents Hineteiwaiwa, the goddess of child birth, finally it can be a memorial to an ancestor or Tipuna and is a form of Kaitiaki or guardianship.
